Being green and at the same time stylish is no longer a contradiction in terms. For anyone wishing to save energy costs (up to 80 per cent), classic energy-saving light bulbs are just the thing. The coiled fluorescent tube is now often encased, so that bulb, candle and ball shapes are available. Even continuous dimming is no longer a problem, due to the OSRAM Dulux Dimmable. In any case, the changeover is, financially, a sound proposition: by exchanging a standard 100 W light bulb for a 21 W OSRAM Dulux Superstar, the energy savings over the entire ten-year lifespan add up to €134.30.
Buying OSRAM brand products is worthwhile, according to the “Stiftung Warentest” (Germany’s leading consumer testing agency) in test 3/2008. During the latest tests, 80 per cent of OSRAM energy-saving light bulbs tested were awarded the “good” rating, a result no other manufacturer attained in this test.
Warm and energy-efficient halogen light
OSRAM’s Halogen Energy Saver also reduces environmental damage and delights fans of standard light bulbs. These efficient halogen lights offer energy savings of up to 30 per cent, while providing the same quality of light and visual appearance as the “good old” light bulb. The shapes of the light bulbs are identical to standard light bulbs, resulting in an effortless changeover.
Available in many popular shapes, the energy-efficient light bulbs bring a pleasant ambience to every room and even make chandeliers a highlight, whether modern or antique in style. In addition, all Halogen Energy Saver products are suitable for continuous dimming. Changing over pays off here as well, swapping a 100 W light bulb for a 70 W Halogen Energy Saver light provides the consumer with a saving of €10.20 over the two-year lifespan.
