Thanks to the unique flat geometry of the mercury-free OSRAM PLANON^® flat panel lamp there are now a great many different ways of using light not only for illumination but also as a design element; the OSRAM PLANON^® can be used for any application that calls for low-profile designs, indoors or outdoors. Architecture, office, facade, trade fair and museum lighting are just some of the many possible applications.

OSRAM has a basic range of innovative, reliable, high-quality PLANON^® flat panel light sources; other lamp formats and light colors are at the preparation stage. Special colors are possible, for example for projects that call for "corporate colors".

Technology

The OSRAM PLANON^® flat lamp is a two-dimensional mercury-free discharge lamp that makes use of entirely new technologies. Light is generated by a pulsed dielectric barrier discharge in a xenon atmosphere.
