Clear view of the cool water: Indoor swimming pool lighting with minimal reflections
Not so much for swimmer, more for the spectators and referees. Unlike other types of sport, the lighting in indoor swimming pools is more important for the people around the pool watching developments in the water and not for the actual athletes.
Not an easy task when you consider that when swimming the length of the pool, competitive swimmers create mini whirlpools and splashes that obscure the view of the water. The lighting should therefore prevent additional reflections on the surface of the water.
Secondary reflector systems from Siteco are the ideal solution here. They distribute the light accurately and evenly across the surface of the water. Mirrortec also makes the lighting system easier to install. The projectors are mounted outside the pool area for greater ease of maintenance.
Conventional technology
Luminaires that incorporate conventional lighting technology are leading solutions in the illumination of sports facilities. Only conventional luminaires can produce the power required for outdoor floodlighting. At the same time, these solutions are efficient enough for the relevant task because usually they are only switched on for a few hours on a handful of selected days. Various switch settings also allow energy-reduced operation.
