"OSRAM Cinema Light Journalist Days": PR event for XBO lamps
OSRAM's XBO lamps are an essential component in lighting modern cinema and movie projection. At the "OSRAM Cinema Light Journalist Days" in Munich and Eichstätt (5 to 7 September 2012) OSRAM will be showing off the benefits and new features of the XBO technology.
Modern and efficient lighting is an important part of both classical and digital cinema projection. With its high-performance XBO lamps, OSRAM is the world market leader in cinema lamps. At the "OSRAM Cinema Light Journalist Days" in Munich and Eichstätt OSRAM will demonstrate how important XBO lamps are for digital cinema projection.
"OSRAM Cinema Light Journalist Days" journalists and other guests can experience for themselves the potential of modern lighting in cinema projection. As well as being given a guided tour of the manufacturing facility for XBO lamps, guests can expect exciting presentations from leading OSRAM specialists, visit the Photo + Film exhibition in the Deutsches Museum and share an evening together at the movies in the Münchner Freiheit Kino in Munich.
OSRAM knowledge: XBO lamps
XBO lamps belong to the family of direct current discharge lamps. Through their particularly high luminance, their compact design and their optimal daylight color temperature they respond comprehensively to the needs of modern digital cinemas and large-screen projection. Their long lamp life, extremely high light output and their consistent color quality make the lamps ideal for use in both classic and digital movie projection. The outstanding features of OSRAM's XBO Xenon short arc lamp led to it being awarded a prestigious Oscar in 1983.
