OLED technology is revolutionizing the way we light rooms. In the first place, OLEDs enable designs that are independent of technology and can be built in virtually any material and any application. Shop window lighting, illumination of furniture and mirrors or simply luminaires with completely novel designs – OLED opens up entirely new horizons thanks to its uniqueness. The wafer-thin OLEDs have already been used in designer luminaires, furniture, glass and even in artistic light sculptures. With impressive and multiple award-winning success.
Uniqueness of OLED panels
OLED panels are very thin, extremely light and glare-free area light sources made of glass. In contrast to conventional light sources, they produce only minimal heat radiation and thus do not require any additional heat sink. Furthermore, their warm white light contains neither UV nor IR radiation. This makes them eminently suitable for lighting delicate products. Its homogeneous light, similar in color temperature and quality to the cozy light of an incandescent lamp, creates an equally comforting atmosphere and is infinitely dimmable. In contrast to the incandescent lamp however, the OLED is already significantly more efficient and, with a current efficiency of 40 lumen per watt, exceeds that of conventional halogen lamps.
