Smart street lighting with NFC

In modern street lighting, safety and lighting mood have top priority. For cities and municipalities, energy efficiency and easy operation are also of great importance. The new OSRAM LED drivers of the product families OT 1DIM and OT 4DIM NFC meet these requirements and offer even more. Thanks to contactless NFC programming with Tuner4TRONIC, you can reduce the complexity associated with the application of energy-saving LED luminaires and lower costs for maintenance and stock management.

Street lights with LED technology allow for high energy savings as the brightness and the dimming level, for example, can be adjusted to the requirements. To reduce this complexity, OSRAM has developed the intelligent NFC-ready LED drivers of the product families OT 1DIM and OT 4DIM NFC. These make it possible to use flexible LED street lights that support various lumen packages, dimming modes and dimming levels.

In luminaire manufacturing, the LED drivers can be programmed efficiently with the software Tuner4TRONIC and the corresponding NFC devices. Moreover, they can be easily programmed via smartphone with the Tuner4TRONIC Field app, which provides municipalities and assigned installers with a simple way to replace defective LED drivers and extend existing installations – and this without requiring mains voltage.

Thanks to NFC, municipalities can optimize energy efficiency without additional efforts for stock management and maintenance.
