The Tuner4TRONIC (T4T) software suite allows luminaire manufacturers to program OSRAM drivers via DALI and/or NFC in a simple, fast, reliable and cost-effective way, speeding up the production process. This software for Windows consists of five main modules:
Tuner4TRONIC-Development is the perfect choice to configure LED drivers by setting individual parameters such as output current, dimming levels, constant lumen output, and operating modes.
Thanks to its multi-level password system, Configuration Lock protects LED drivers against unauthorized changes while service technicians can still be granted access rights for selected features. Once the configuration has been completed, the settings are exported as an encrypted read-only production file and transmitted to the production line.
Tuner4TRONIC-Production provides a multilingual user interface. Operators can conveniently load encrypted production files in order to start automatic programming for the fast mass production of LED drivers. Changes to the LED driver configuration are not possible during this stage.
DALI Magic or FEIG NFC Reader serve as hardware programming interfaces for driver programming. NFC Readers enable fast, cable-free working without a power supply source.
Tuner4TRONIC-Machine seamlessly complements our unique software suite. Its DLL and command line tool enable integration into the existing automatic programming, as well as the testing of stations in the production line.
While the Development and Production versions provide the users an intuitive graphical interface, the API („Application Programming Interface“) provides software developers a collection of functions and tools to create luminaire configurations automatically. Typically, the API is used to create luminaire files when a new order is available in the ERP system. The API is based on modern standards (REST) and conventions, comes with a comprehensive documentation and must be integrated into your system by a software developer (OSRAM does not provide ERP system integrations).
Simplified driver error diagnostics
Tuner4TRONIC helps luminaire manufacturers investigate and find the error source of a failed LED driver speeding up the guaranty claim process.
The summary in T4T provides a complete overview of all parameters last programmed in the driver. Monitoring Data allows reading the power and energy consumption, temperature profile, operating hours, and more diagnostic parameters stored in the driver.
Both functions are available using the DALI and NFC interface.
Tuner4TRONIC-Field makes the installation and maintenance of indoor and outdoor luminaires as easy as it gets by allowing the wireless programming of OSRAM LED drivers and without the need for mains voltage.
Typical examples could be the adjustment of light output or changing the dimming times or levels. Using the copy and paste functionality of the T4T-Field app, the settings of the original luminaire can be easily transferred to the new one in a matter of seconds.
Using a flexible password system, the luminaire manufacturer can protect the LED drivers against unauthorized modifications or only allow modifications within a predefined range.

Wireless NFC interfaces
Enables easy commissioning and luminaire service
In order to make light management systems intelligent in terms of service and predictive maintenance, they need basic information about the connected luminaire (model, power, service life etc.). During production, the luminaire manufacturer can store these data in the LED driver, and the light management system can recall these data in the installation.
LED drivers with this feature offer additional operation and status information that exceeds what is currently offered by the DALI standard (such as energy consumption, power, operating time, overvoltage or overvoltage etc.). By using these data, it is possible to offer predictive maintenance and an overall better lighting service. Moreover, it makes the light management system intelligent. Monitoring Data is an enhancement of the “Smart Grid” feature. This data can also be visualized in the Tuner4TRONIC software for service.
Overview of the new outdoor LED driver features
This feature allows an adjustment of the amount of light in the field or in production within the limits pre-defined by the luminaire manufacturer. Various lumen packages can thus be provided with one luminaire. Combined with LEDset2, this feature can also be used to achieve other lumen packages which differ in terms of resistor coding.
This feature is an advancement of OEM Key, which allows the control of access rights for individual features within the LED driver using the Tuner4TRONICTM software, as well as the assignment of different rights to luminaire manufacturers, the service team and the general user. Assigning user rights also allows offering “Light as a Service” while still maintaining total control over who is allowed to modify what within the device or luminaire.
By default, the internal protection mechanisms of the LED driver are designed for maximum power and temperature, but not for those of the luminaire. This feature allows you to adapt the power and temperature derating of the LED driver such that these values match the individual luminaire and even improve its reliability. Overview of the new indoor LED driver features
Dim to Dark
This feature enables dimming below 1 %, allowing steady dimming down the final switch-off of the device. It is just ideal for theaters, movie theaters and other special applications. For LED drives with pure amplitude dimming, the minimum dimming value in percent is determined by the minimal/rated output current ratio.
Soft Switch Off
As soon as the device receives the switch-off command via a control interface (e.g. Touch DIM or DALI), this feature dims the device down to zero nearly logarithmically, and with pre-defined delay times. This feature is supposed to replicate the behavior of traditional halogen light sources.
A Tunable White lighting system consists of at least two LED modules with different colors (warm white and cool white). The light of both LED modules is mixed in such a way that the light source is perceived as a single light emitting element. To control and mix the levels of the LED modules independently, the LED driver must have at least two output channels.
OSRAM also offers programmable UL certified LED drivers. These drivers can be programmed with the OT Programmer software together with the OT Programmer programming interface.Find out more about the OT Programmer
