areitXpress mountain railway – Zell am See-Kaprun, Austria

In the summer of 2017, the Areitbahn cable car in Zell am See-Kaprun was replaced with the areitXpress after around 30 years of service and 25 million passengers. The new ultramodern 10-seater monocable gondola has a 50 percent higher capacity and takes guests much faster onto the mountain. Now the innovative state-of-the-art LED lighting at the lift station from Traxon e:cue provides even more “uplift”.

Skiing is all about emotions and dynamics – the aim here was to convey that through the modern design of the areitXpress lift station. The lighting solution from Traxon e:cue is in no way inferior to the spectacular architecture, adding a particularly vibrant and dynamic element.

The Media Tube Lite RGBW LED modules, which can be controlled in any color, make for an inviting ambiance, “shorten” waiting times at the lifts and are suitable for use in all weather conditions thanks to their high IP rating. Sympl Core S and Sympl DMX node controllers as well as powerful, easy-to-use Sympholight software make the modules simple and versatile to control.

The Media Tube Lite RGBW modules have IP65 protection, making them a reliable LED solution for indoor and outdoor applications. Four-channel RGBW control allows for dynamic color effects throughout the entire color space. To meet different length requirements, 600 mm and 1000 mm versions are available.

The narrow profile and various color options give designers the freedom to implement low-resolution media facades. The slim housing profile can be integrated into a wide variety of facade cladding. Various mounting angles allow installation on almost any surface and provide precise arrangements.
