TeilnehmerHello All,
I’m looking for some detailed information regarding the C# scripting api. The manual has a few examples but is not really complete. Where Could I find this information?
At the bottom of page 284 of the V3 sympholight manual there is a screenshot on a script which shows there is a class Scripting.DaliDevice. this class is not available on my system although I’m using a lot of DaliDevices. What am I missing?
Many thanks
Raphaël.

ModeratorHello Raphaël
Currently there is and was no class DaliDevice available for the end user in the C# Scripting API.
The Manual will be developed in parallel to the product. It could happen, that sometimes Screenshots are taken from projects under development.
This could be such a screenshot. The next version of Sympholight (V5.0) will have a new and better scripting API. We will keep the actual one for compatibility.
You will find an extra scripting help and better context help.
(But there you will not find a DaliDevice class either.)I hope I could help you, so far.
Kind regards / Freundliche Grüße

TeilnehmerHi Christoph,
Thanks for the information. Unfortunately, the project I’m working on happens now and not in an hypothetical V5.0 future version. I would actually prefer to have a draft, sometimes incorrect, sometimes changing api information than just about nothing as it is now. I’m a software engineer and not afraid of software not behaving as planned so maybe you have some kind of beta program api reference that you could share with me (under nda if you require).
Best regards

ModeratorHello Raphaël
In the current situation we have no further information regarding the Scripting API. We do not continue the development of the actual API and in V5.0, see the beta version, we have a new one.
If you need Scripting for your project now, and a deeper look into the API please get in touch with our support per email at support_ecue’at’osram.com
Probably you can describe the type of project and what you want to do by scripting.I hope this helps.
Kind regards / Freundliche Grüße
