    Hi!

After uploading a new show yesterday and let it run for a couple of hours, the webinterface of the Sympholight Core S module has chrashed, hanged etc. We cannot reach the webinterface to upload a new show on this standalone module. When we type in the adress of the Sympholight Core S module in a webbrower, it only keeps on searching for the webpage, not showing a result or error message.

Has this happened before? What could cause this?

The module is till outputting showdata to the DMX-module so the internal e:net seems to work.

But we really need to have access. This is on an installation some 100 km from our office.

    /Kind regards, Ismael

    Hello Ismael

This might happen, if you access ActionPad or WebUI with multiple clients and browsers. This could be a DDos attack, too.
The issue is, that a new web connection cannot be created. The project itself will continue running.
This is a recently found issue. We still do not have a solution for this.

Is it possible to start Sympholight in the same network?
Then you can use the setup tab and devices view where your Core S should be shown. Use the context menu either to upload a new show which will not fix the web problem or to restart the Core S. After some minutes, depending on the current show, the system will be available again.
The alternative would be to power off and on the Core S directly. Then someone needs physical access.
After this step, just wait a couple of minutes, and the WebUI is available again.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello Christoph,

Thanks for your answer. However this is a serious problem for us. We sell fountains with your Sympl Core as control for the whole fountain show. We also sell that people can have access to the fountain through VPN and ActionPad on the Sympl C standalone.

It will happen a lot of times that people connect at the same time and through different browswers. If the webinterface will crash then and we everytime need to go out and restart the system, the whole reason with using the powerful Sympl Core as standalone fails. To make upgrades and configurations over internet….

Can you please try to fix this issue as fast as possible and come with an upgrade? This really decides if we shall keep on working with this system or not. We cannot go out and reset the module everytime it happens and be without internet access meanwhile.

Otherwise thanks for a good product what can become super if these intitial problems solve.

    Hello Ismael

    We have tracked this issue.
It might be more difficult to solve it than usual issues, due to the fact, that this one could also be in the operating system, we are using. And it is difficult to reproduce for us.
So we will need some time.
It could be helpful to contact your e:cue partner or email us directly: support_ecue(at)osram.com
