Weather station data

Hi Sympholighters.

Does anyone have good experiences with certain weather stations/sensors integrated in Sympholight? We have to place sensors to read out onsite weather conditions and use that info in Sympholight to control the behavior of the installation.

Love to hear your ideas and experiences regarding this matter.

Hello Robbert,

I am not an LCN expert, but I read that it is possible to send UDP data from the LCN-GVS software.
There is some kind of event notifier in the software which can be programmed.
UDP data can be sent and received in Sympholight using the Send/Receive UDP blocks in the Workflow Designer.

Hi Robbert,

we have used this Weather Station in projects in the Past: https://www.vaisala.com/sites/default/files/documents/WXT530-Datasheet-B211500EN.pdf
The Station can be configured to send out ASCII Strings periodicly, in SL you just need to catch this String send over RS232 and take out the values.

Would you care to share some of the Sympholight node setup you used for reading out and processing the the data coming from the sensor?
