I found a way around what I needed to do.

I call a switch macro that checks the global string (which i set by the ‘enable’ button) and enables the buttons when switching to the page.

essentially it happens just after the page switch so the user doesn’t really see it.

      Cheers,
      JB

      Hi Bjorn,

Is there any way to enable buttons on the non active action pad pages?

I have a macro that I want to enable my action buttons only under certain conditions. These buttons are not on the same page though. Is there any way to do this?
      Previously I have used
      ActionPadSetItemEnabledState(21,0);
      ActionPadSetItemEnabledState(21,1);
Button has the Script ID of “21”

      To enable and Disable.

      Cheers,
      JB

      Hi Bjorn,

      It was as you said.

My problem was that _StringActual was already loaded as an integer and wouldn’t change over to a string without restart.

      My Bad.

      Thanks for the reply Bjorn,

I had the access control etc in a commented out manor as I don’t want the popup. (its kept in the script for when I need that type of dialogue)
My input for this job is the keypad on actionpad.
Are you able to load the files I attached into a new show and test?

      Cheers,

      Thanks Andreas,

I have IOSearch installed on the machine as well so I will just give the admins access to that.

If you do add it I will then implement it into my installation.

      Cheers,
      JB

      Thanks Bjorn,

I agree. There should be no reason to restart.

I’m just wanting to add it under my locked out administration section of the Action Pad…

      Cheers,
      JB

      Thank you Bjorn,

Also I would like to know if there is a TCP modbus command I can use to reboot my remote Moxa devices?
I have been searching everywhere and can’t seem to find any.

      ie:
      DriverSendCommand (“RESTART”, 0)

      or
      DriverSendString (“RESTART”)

      Cheers,
      JB

      Thanks Andreas,

This project has now come up. Would you have any sample scripts for working with Moxa devices?

In particular i need to call the currnet state of an output and write a global variable. This variable can be used to idicate that the remote device is switched on or off. I’ll use the variable in action page.

I also need to access the standard features of remotely switching the moxa device on/off.

      Cheers,

Great thanks for the input. I think that using global variables could work. Do you have any script example of the sequencget in action?

When I need to interrupt the sequence, I think I would need to call on the playing sequence ID, save that in a var. using the var in a macro that is actioned after the interrupt is finished which plays the sequence again from the paused point.

What i am currently doing is using action pad buttons to play the sequences. Then I have moments where another cue needs to interrupt the sequence, and then when it has finished start the sequence again.
I was sending a command of pause from the cuelist and a release action of pause to make the sequence play again.
I have had to setup a cuelist and button for each sequence to interrupt, see image attached.
What i would like to do is have only 1 button for Home and 1 button for Away, which would just run over the top of whichever sequence is running. The operator at the moment could make a mistake and “resume” the wrong sequence in my current setup.

Also on a side note, is there a way to use macro script to have an action pad showing sequence state?

      Cheers,
      JB

I am using on timed event to start and stop the cue lists. This is all fine. It is more that 60sec online is 65sec offline. Hope this makes sense.
