This year the Sustainable Innovation Forum will once again be held alongside the annual UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (COP) conventions – taking place in Doha, Qatar on 6 December 2012.
The Sustainable Innovation Forum brings together business, government and international NGOs to discuss the actions and solutions that are needed to increase sustainability and accelerate the global green economy. The forum will feature senior government representatives, global business leaders, representatives from UN governing bodies and non-governmental organizations – all committed to sustainability. We are proud to be a valuable partner in this setting and to be supporting what will be an engaging forum.
Adam Nethersole, Director of Green Media, the forum organizers, says: “We are absolutely delighted to have OSRAM on board. As a leading lighting manufacturer, OSRAM is a key actor in terms of global climate action – constantly developing technical and process innovations in order to reduce CO2 emissions – and as such, is extremely well qualified to add insight and value to the forum.“

The forum will include panel discussions designed to encourage genuine debate between policy-makers and the corporate world. Participating in the plenary panel “Sustainable Cities”, OSRAM seeks to mobilize partnerships and inform about the challenges of sustainable urbanization with an increasing population. Global challenges like these make sustainable development ever more important. This is why OSRAM is dedicated to products and processes that contribute to solving global sustainability challenges, address economic needs and protect the environment. Thereby we are maximizing efficiency, minimizing environmental impact and creating sustainable value.
