Hotels often used to welcome their guests with the same uniform lighting at reception. Restaurants and bars

The two essential ingredients for perfect restaurant lighting are atmosphere and zoning. Overall, the lighting should be subtle but walkways, service zones and such areas should be more brightly lit. Tables and other seating areas call for a relaxing atmosphere. The light should be bright enough for food and drink to be seen in their best light, but subdued enough to create a sense of privacy.
