For 40 years this laboratory of OSRAM AG at headquarters in Munich has been established as the central laboratory for photometric and radiometric light measurement techniques regarding lamps and lamp systems. Also special and carefully selected lamps for test and calibration purposes, as well as photometer paint applied in Ulbricht sphere coating can be ordered.
Our equipment includes several Ulbricht spheres of different sizes (up to 3 m in diameter), some goniophotometers, a rotating mirror light measurement system, optical benches up to 65 m in length, high class photometric detectors and radiometers as well as the capabilities to run electrically powered lamps – according to customer specifications or standardized procedures.
Since 1994 our laboratory is accredited as testing laboratory for numerous light and radiometric quantities and calculations.
We have obtained accreditation as calibration laboratory for luminous flux in October 2010.
In keeping with the multilateral agreement ILAC our measurements and calibrations are internationally recognized in all ILAC- member states.
We perform calibrations on electrically-powered lights and document this with the internationally recognized certificate of DAkkS.
As a testing laboratory, we offer a range of services and opportunities we will be happy to put together for your applications and needs.
For testing and calibration, we can recommend special lights. In addition, we produce photometric colors in our laboratory. And we offer the E27-test version for the operation mode of scientific lamps.
