From factory buildings to department stores, from mines to oil platforms, from housing to the street: all are covered by General Lighting. Many different illumination technologies for various applications ensure energy-saving, long-lasting, and brilliant lighting for private and public spaces.

Halogen lamps

Adding halogens turns conventional light bulbs into halogen lamps. Things simply look better in the brilliant light generated by these lamps.

Compact fluorescent lamps

Lamps from OSRAM have always lit the way forward. As true lighting professionals and leading innovators, we have accomplished pioneering work in various areas, as well as enhanced and optimized a great amount within them. This applies in particular to compact fluorescent lamps.

Fluorescent lamps

Did you know that in Europe more than 90 % of the demand for artificial light is covered by discharge lamps? And this primarily means tubular fluorescent lamps.

High Intensity Discharge lamps

High Intensity Discharge (HID) lamps differ from incandescent lamps in the way in which they produce light. They are very efficient because they generate extremely high luminous flux in a very small space.

UV/IR

As well as light sources for visible light, OSRAM supports a complete assortment of special lamps and systems in ultraviolet and infrared radiation. UV and IR radiation is used for various technical applications.
